Golden

“There’s a time of the day when the sun is going down, that’s the golden time of day”☀️ and for me, that time of day is when I know I’ve done all I can to be better in something for the day. I’m two months in, well actually a few months into this full-fledge entrepreneurship thing and I try to stack my wins as I receive them. From making sure I hit my target contacts for the day, to enhancing a model for the next client, or walking my dog when I need some air to making a fire meal for dinner for the fam🧑🏾‍🍳. There’s a sense of satisfaction in that for me, “that’s the golden time of day”.

Making the announcement of Looking Further LLC in August on LinkedIn was a little nerve wrecking and exciting simultaneously. The support was through the roof, I’m grateful for that and I noticed it didn’t come as a surprise to some. I’ve been called a “bright shining star” in the past from peers, but I’m only shooting for my best in doing my part in this world “when the sun settles down”⛅.  “There’s a time in your life when you find who you are” when you step out of the norm and do your own thing. I’ve done it before in the past with the colleges I chose to attend, the career I pursued, random adventures, but this is different. I suppose it could be different due to the responsibilities I have as a husband, father, brother, and a friend to some. I’m conscious of the actions I take now because I know it impacts the people I care about the most, especially at this stage of sustaining my own business. Fortunately, there’s a sense of calmness I have throughout this process as I’m really pulling from all my life and career experiences to shape this venture.

I’m in heavy business development and networking mode right now. I’m pressing the replay button from prior experience when I assisted external affairs, attending events, and socializing with colleagues. There’s a lot I’m unaware of and learning about, which is cool for me, it lets me know my targeted approach in whom I’m seeking information from is putting me on the right path. “That’s the golden time of day”🌥️! Those got it right moments don’t happen everyday trust me, but when they hit, I feel it deep inside my spirit.

On that note, I’m a keep on “shining” and use those golden time of day moments as fuel to stay steady, persistent, and grateful. “Shining, can’t you see it shining, oh oh ohhhhhhhhhhhh”🌟🌟🌟
